Overview
Y2K: Playing Britney is an electronic project built around the repertoire of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Beyoncé, with the name indicating further artists of the same period. It is a tribute act: the performers are not Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera or Beyoncé, and the music is presented as a homage to their work.
The name points to the pop of the turn of the millennium, the years when these singers released some of their best-known records. The night suits listeners drawn to that era's songs in an electronic arrangement. The Victoria is a London venue that hosts concerts and shows.
