Alewya

An electronic concert by Alewya, a singer, producer and multidisciplinary artist, at Village Underground, a London venue that hosts concerts and shows.

Alewya is a singer, producer and multidisciplinary artist who also works as a painter and visual creative. Drawing on influences ranging from Ethiopian music and garage, grime and R&B to hip-hop, the project treats sound as texture and feeling rather than strict structure. Early encouragement came from drum and bass producer Shy FX, whose support helped shape an approach rooted in heritage and authenticity.

Earlier work includes Panther in Mode (2021), which combined Afro-electronic percussion with a striking visual identity. Since then, a collaboration with Moses Boyd on "The Code", a UK tour supporting Little Simz, and appearances at Boiler Room Berlin and Glastonbury have marked the project's development. The album Zero, released in 2026, is inspired in part by Charles Seife's book Zero: The Biography of a Dangerous Idea.

This electronic concert takes place at Village Underground, a London venue that hosts concerts and shows. The live performance draws on the same visual and rhythmic elements that run through Alewya's recorded work.
