Live At Chelsea - Patti Smith Quartet

Patti Smith Quartet performs at the Royal Hospital Chelsea as part of the Live At Chelsea series, bringing the American singer and poet's rock and art rock repertoire to a London venue.

Patti Smith is an American singer and poet working across rock, proto-punk and art rock. Active since 1971, the artist released the album Horses on Columbia Records in 1975, a record widely associated with the early New York rock scene. The act's work combines spoken word with songs, drawing on a poetic tradition that has run through Smith's recordings for decades.

This concert is presented by the quartet, a band format in which Patti Smith performs with a group of musicians. The exact line-up and the songs chosen for this evening are not set out here, so readers wanting that detail should consult the artist's own material for the repertoire associated with the project.

The Royal Hospital Chelsea hosts concerts and shows in London, and this event is part of the Live At Chelsea series. The night suits listeners interested in rock, proto-punk and literary songwriting who want to hear a long-established American artist in a London setting.
