Black Marble

Black Marble brings coldwave and synth-pop sounds to Room 2 Glasgow for a live concert performance.

Black Marble is the recording project of American musician and producer Chris Stewart, formed in Brooklyn in 2010. The project emerged during a revival of minimal synth and post-punk, drawing direct inspiration from early electronic and darkwave pioneers of the nineteen-eighties. Key releases include the debut album A Different Arrangement, released in 2012 on Hardly Art, followed by subsequent records such as It's Immaterial and Bigger Than Life, issued via Sacred Bones Records. The catalogue relies heavily on analogue synthesizers, drum machines and deep, melancholic baritone vocals, defining a distinctly nocturnal and introspective electronic aesthetic.

Room 2 Glasgow hosts this performance in Glasgow. The venue provides a space for live music events, welcoming touring independent acts and electronic artists as part of their schedule. This concert suits listeners interested in contemporary synth-pop, coldwave and minimal electronic production. The programme features studio material adapted for the stage, presenting the signature arrangements and rhythmic synthesizer patterns associated with the project's recorded output.
