Overview
Death Valley Girls are an American rock band formed in 2013 in Los Angeles, playing at The Lexington in London. This listing covers their concert at the venue.
Death Valley Girls formed in 2013 in Los Angeles and released their debut album, Street Venom, in 2014. Since then they have issued a run of records including Glow in the Dark, Darkness Rains, Under the Spell of Joy and Islands in the Sky, which combine fuzzy proto-punk guitar, catchy melodies, offbeat lyrics and psychedelic textures. Their songs often return to ideas of shared energy and optimism, expressed through loud, direct rock.
The band's material is described as having a communal and expansive quality, and a new album was in preparation at the time of this listing. Audiences interested in garage-leaning rock with a psychedelic edge will find the group's back catalogue a useful guide before the show.
The Lexington is a London venue that hosts concerts and shows, and this performance is one of several events the band is playing on this visit to London.
