Deep Purple

British rock pioneers Deep Purple perform live in Manchester, bringing their legendary catalogue to the AO Arena stage.

Deep Purple are a British rock band formed in London in nineteen sixty-eight. Alongside Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, they helped shape the heavy metal and hard rock genres during the early nineteen seventies. Their classic line-up featured vocalist Ian Gillan, guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, keyboardist Jon Lord, bassist Roger Glover, and drummer Ian Paice. Among their defining releases are the studio albums Machine Head and In Rock, alongside the successful nineteen seventy-two live album Made in Japan. Their best-known tracks include Smoke on the Water, Highway Star, and Child in Time, driven by the distinctive interplay between Hammond organ and distorted guitar.

This concert takes place at the AO Arena, situated in Manchester, which hosts large-scale music tours and arena shows. The programme features the band performing compositions from their extensive discography. TicketMundi provides this cultural guide for music audiences in Manchester.
