DJ Pierre

An electronic music night at The Cause in London, headlined by DJ Pierre, the American DJ and producer and a pioneer of acid house. The bill also names 808 State, Lauren Flax, Posthuman and Jon Dasilva.

DJ Pierre is an American electronic music DJ and producer, born in 1965 in Chicago. A pioneer of acid house, DJ Pierre has been active since 1987, when the group Phuture was formed, and released a first album in 2007. The name is central to the history of the Chicago house and acid scene.

The bill also lists 808 State, a British music group, alongside Lauren Flax, Posthuman and Jon Dasilva. The programme is listed under the Electronic genre, so the night is built around electronic music rather than live instrumental performance.

The Cause hosts concerts and shows in London. The evening suits listeners interested in acid house and electronic dance music, and those who want to hear the work of a DJ who helped shape the genre from its early years.
