Emf

EMF, the British alternative rock, techno and indie dance band, perform at The 100 Club in London. The listing is filed under rap, although the act itself is described as alternative rock, techno and indie dance.

EMF were formed in Cinderford in 1989 and signed to EMI, releasing their first album, Schubert Dip, in 1991. The band combines alternative rock, techno and indie dance, a blend that set them apart in the early 1990s British music scene. The listing's genre label is rap, which does not match the band's documented musical identity, so the act's own description is the more reliable guide to what to expect on stage. Their repertoire in concert is not described in the information available here, and the line-up for this night is not stated.

The 100 Club is a London venue that hosts concerts and shows. It is a fitting setting for a band whose records span guitar-based rock and dance-oriented production, though the room itself is not described in detail here. This listing suits readers interested in British alternative dance from the early 1990s and in a band whose debut album marked their arrival on a major label.
