Ezra Collective

Ezra Collective, the British jazz quintet led by drummer Femi Koleoso, play a concert at O2 Academy Brixton in London, with PA Salieu also appearing on the bill.

Ezra Collective are a British jazz quintet led by drummer Femi Koleoso. Their music blends jazz with afrobeat, calypso, reggae, hip-hop and soul. Their first album, You Can't Steal My Joy, was released in 2019, and it is the starting point for anyone wishing to become familiar with their sound.

The group's live shows draw on this mix of genres, with the rhythmic drive of the drums at the centre of their playing. PA Salieu is also part of this evening's line-up, and the performance is part of the group's appearances in London.

O2 Academy Brixton is a music venue in south London that hosts concerts and shows throughout the year. The evening will suit listeners interested in contemporary British jazz and its links to Afro-Caribbean and hip-hop traditions.
