Overview
Fontaines D.C., the Irish rock band, play The O2 in London as part of a concert with support from Chalk, Little Simz and Viagra Boys.
Fontaines D.C. is an Irish rock band formed in 2017 in Dublin. The group released its debut album, Dogrel, in 2019 on Partisan Records. Its music sits within the post-punk and indie rock tradition, and the band has built its reputation on guitar-led songs with lyrics delivered in a spoken, often urgent register.
The evening brings together three support acts: Chalk, Little Simz and Viagra Boys, each performing their own set before the headline appearance. Fontaines D.C. are the headline act on this bill, so the concert is organised around their live set.
The O2 is a large multi-purpose venue in London that hosts concerts and shows throughout the year. The night suits listeners who follow indie rock and post-punk, and those who want to hear the headline band alongside a varied line-up of support acts.
