Hatsune Miku

Hatsune Miku is a virtual singer shown on stage as a hologram, with a live band accompanying the performance at The O2 in London. This page covers the concert and its background.

Hatsune Miku is a virtual character created in 2007 by Crypton Future Media, built around a Vocaloid synthetic voice. Her songs are sung by a software voice rather than a human performer, and the character is presented to audiences as a visual figure. The project draws on the Vocaloid voice-synthesis technology, which lets users write melodies and lyrics for the character, and much of the material associated with her has been created and shared by a wide community of musicians and fans.

In concert, Miku appears on stage as a hologram, and she is accompanied by a live band playing alongside the projected performance. The pop, rock and indie styles listed for this event reflect the range of music the character is associated with. The exact line-up of the band and the songs performed on this date are not part of the information available here.

The O2 is a large entertainment venue in London that hosts concerts and shows across many genres. The concert is aimed at those interested in the Vocaloid phenomenon, in hologram stage productions, and in pop and rock music performed with a live band.
