Hayseed Dixie

Hayseed Dixie, an American bluegrass group that rearranges rock songs in an acoustic style, plays O2 Academy 2 Liverpool, with Sweet Electric also named among the artists for the night.

Hayseed Dixie is an American bluegrass group formed in 2000 and active since 2001. Its first album, A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC (2001), set the approach the band has been identified with: well-known rock songs recast in a bluegrass style. The group is signed to Dualtone Records.

Sweet Electric is also named among the artists for this night, so the bill pairs the two acts on one evening in Liverpool.

The concert is at O2 Academy 2 Liverpool, a venue in the city that hosts concerts and shows. The night will suit listeners who enjoy bluegrass versions of rock material, and anyone familiar with the AC/DC album who wants to hear how the band reworked those songs.
