Manic Street Preachers & Suede

A joint concert by Manic Street Preachers and Suede, two British rock bands from the early 1990s alternative scene, at Utilita Arena Birmingham. The bill brings together two acts with separate catalogues and a shared record label.

Manic Street Preachers are a British alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Blackwood. Signed to Columbia Records, they released their first album, Generation Terrorists, in 1992, and have built a long catalogue since then.

Suede is a British rock band from London, playing alternative rock, formed in 1989. The group also signed to Columbia Records and released its first album, Movin', in 1993. Both bands therefore emerged in the same period of British guitar music, and their debut records were released within a year of each other.

The concert takes place at Utilita Arena Birmingham, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in the city. The evening suits listeners who follow British alternative rock and the work of both bands across the 1990s and beyond.
