One of the UK’s most exciting new musical voices, Marla Kether brings her six-piece live band and a deep, genre-blurring groove to the stage.
Blending jazz, funk, soul, UK funky and Brazilian influences, the London-born bassist, producer and DJ has carved out a sound that moves effortlessly between the dancefloor and the pocket.
With her new EP Luso landing on 16 October via Strut Records, Marla enters a major new chapter.
Already a sought-after session bassist for Little Simz, Loyle Carner, Yazmin Lacey, Oscar Jerome and Obongjayar, her own productions have earned acclaim from Bandcamp Daily, DJ Mag and Gilles Peterson.
