Nirvana UK

Nirvana UK is a tribute act performing the music of Nirvana, the American grunge band, at the O2 Academy Islington in London. It is a tribute, not the original group.

Nirvana UK is a tribute act built around the songs of Nirvana, the Seattle band formed in the late 1980s and led by Kurt Cobain, whose records such as Nevermind and Bleach defined much of the grunge sound of the early 1990s. The act is not the original band, and the concert is presented as a tribute to that repertoire. The context provides little further detail about the line-up or the exact programme on stage, so no specific songs, members or instruments are described here.

The concert takes place at the O2 Academy Islington, a venue in north London that hosts concerts and shows throughout the year. The night is aimed at listeners who know Nirvana's catalogue and want to hear it performed live by a tribute act, as well as at fans of pop, rock and indie music more broadly.
