Onda Saoco

Club Saoco Vol. 3 is a club night by the DJ duo Onda Saoco at the Fox & Firkin in Lewisham, London, with several guest DJs playing Afrobeats, dancehall and related sounds from across the diaspora.

Onda Saoco is a project shaped by the DJs Ana Isabela and Nora, whose sets draw on percussive traditions with roots on the African continent, in Latin America and in the Caribbean. They created Club Saoco as a series that showcases the sounds, DJs and communities they admire. This third instalment returns to the Fox & Firkin, a concert and performance venue in Lewisham, after earlier editions were held there and at Jumbi.

The line-up brings together several DJs, each bringing a personal approach and musical knowledge to the dancefloor. The music has been selected to keep people moving from the first track to the last. The programme moves through Afrobeats, dancehall, reggaeton, shatta, dembow, baile funk and SWANA sounds, among other styles.
