Papa Roach - Rise of the Roach

Papa Roach play a concert at The O2 in London, presented as Rise of the Roach, with support from Landmvrks and Sleep Theory. The band are an American alternative rock, nu metal and rap rock act.

Papa Roach is an American alternative rock, nu metal and rap rock band formed in California in 1993. Their first album, Old Friends From Young Years, was released in 1997, and the group has since built a long career on the strength of heavy guitar riffs set against rapped and sung vocals. The band's sound sits at the crossover between nu metal and alternative rock, a lineage that runs through the late 1990s and early 2000s rock scene in the United States.

Landmvrks and Sleep Theory are the support acts on this bill, so the evening will move through several sets before the headline performance. The title Rise of the Roach refers to this London show by Papa Roach, and the concert is a rock night aimed at listeners who follow the band's catalogue and the nu metal and rap rock genres.

The O2 is a large entertainment venue in London, and it hosts concerts and shows throughout the year. Its programming covers rock, pop and indie acts, which makes it a common stop for touring bands of this kind.
