Overview
A London concert by the British synth-pop group Pet Shop Boys, built around their 1986 debut album Please, which is performed in full for the first time live, alongside their biggest hits.
Pet Shop Boys are a British group formed in London in 1981, working across house, electronic dance music and synth-pop. Their debut album, Please, was released in 1986 on Parlophone. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are the two members named for this event.
The show marks 40 years since Please and presents the whole album live, from the opening track West End Girls to lesser-played songs that are rarely heard in concert. The set also includes the group's biggest hits, so the evening moves between the early record and their best-known material.
The Courtyard Theatre is a London venue that hosts concerts and shows. The night suits listeners who want to hear the group's first album performed in its entirety, as well as those who come for the singles.
