Pete Murray

Pete Murray at Dingwalls

Pete Murray has built a career defined by raw authenticity and a string of multi-platinum records, cementing his status as one of Australia's most beloved and successful singer-songwriters. With over 1.2 million albums sold and 17 ARIA Award nominations, he has consistently sat at the summit of the industry, boasting three consecutive #1 albums. His breakthrough 2003 record, Feeler, became the definitive soundtrack for a generation, remaining in the charts for over 80 weeks and spawning hits like "So Beautiful" and "Opportunity." Since then, his unique blend of acoustic rock and soulful folk has remained a permanent fixture in the Australian cultural landscape.

Released in late 2025, Longing marks a monumental milestone as his first completely independent release in over two decades - a move that has seen him reclaim his masters and his creative narrative. The album blends his signature acoustic warmth with gritty, synth-driven textures and hypnotic rhythms and reflects a "life lived," trading on the same soul-stirring honesty that first made him a household name while showcasing a sophisticated, modern evolution.

Murray's live performances remain a masterclass in both intimacy and anthemic energy. Whether stripping it back to a solo acoustic set or leading a full band through his expansive catalog, he remains a world-class storyteller with an unmatched ability to connect with an audience.
