Powerplant

A semi-regular night presented by Bruno Bof at Bristol Strange Brew, with Powerplant performing as a full band and support from Tenby Lacrosse Club, Turtle Boulevard and Bruno and the Outrageous Methods of Presentation.

Powerplant is the solo project of Theo Zhykharyev, a Ukraine-born musician based in London. Its music pairs giddy bass and sizzling synth lines with melancholic vocal hooks. For this show the project appears as a full band, with several of London's leading players joining. Pitchfork has praised its bangers, and the Guardian has described it as fabulously odd music.

Bruno Bof's Bag o Walnuts is a semi-regular night presented by Bruno Bof, the singer and guitarist of Bruno and the Outrageous Methods of Presentation, a band described as a beat combo. Bruno's band plays at every edition, and Bruno acts as compère alongside other acts chosen by Bruno. This is the third edition, following a January night with Evicshen. Tenby Lacrosse Club and Turtle Boulevard are also on the bill.

Bristol Strange Brew is a concert and performance venue in Bristol, and this evening's line-up combines the project's full band set with the curated mix of acts that defines the night.
