Sami Yusuf

Sami Yusuf performs at the Royal Festival Hall in London, on the Southbank. The concert brings the singer and composer's devotional repertoire to one of the city's principal concert halls.

Sami Yusuf is a singer and composer whose work draws on devotional and spiritual song, blending Middle Eastern and Islamic musical traditions with Western orchestral and contemporary arrangements. Sami Yusuf's recordings have circulated widely among audiences following this repertoire, and the music is sung in several languages, including Arabic, Persian and English.

The concert takes place at the Royal Festival Hall, part of the Southbank Centre on the South Bank of the Thames. Opened in 1951, the hall is one of London's principal venues for orchestral concerts, recitals and shows, and it hosts a wide range of programmes throughout the year.

The evening suits listeners interested in devotional music and in the blend of traditions Sami Yusuf brings to it, as well as those who follow the artist's work on this visit to London.
