The Clockworks

The Clockworks, a quartet from Galway now based in London, perform at Scala alongside BLUAI, an all-female indie folk and americana group from Belgium. The evening is a concert.

The Clockworks are an alternative band formed in Galway and based in London. They released their debut album, Exit Strategy, in 2023, and the band's members are James McGregor, Sean Connelly, Damian Greaney and Tom Freeman. Their move to the capital preceded the recording of that album, which was made with Bernard Butler. Earlier, they toured the United States in support of Pixies in 2022, and later took part in a run of dates with Johnny Marr.

BLUAI is an all-female group from Belgium, active in indie folk and americana since its formation in 2021. It has released two albums, the most recent being Save It for Later, issued in 2024. Its presence on the bill places it alongside The Clockworks at this London concert.

Scala is the venue hosting the evening, and it is a London venue for concerts and shows. The material available describes the band's recent songwriting, which turns to a society marked by isolation linked to modern technology, and this forms the theme of their newer work.
