The Gate Curates

Piehouse Presents, The Gate Curates

This night is in collaboration with The Gate. The Gate is an arts and resource centre for people with learning disabilities based in Shepherds Bush, London. Set up 20 years ago by Yarrow Housing to cater for the daytime needs of their tenants. Largely they're an arts centre but also a base where people can come and be free to be themselves and express that in a creative manner.

The Gate has curated the artists for this weeks Piehouse presents expect:

Labake Sabbath \- a dynamic singer and spoken word artist who is also a lyrical free improviser. She writes music often with playful humour, sometimes about her lived experiences.

The Gators - a new swampy improvised band featuring 2 Decks, Simon and Tom from The Gate.

Carys Hannah - a spoken word poet, drummer/percussionist, beatboxer, and live looping artist. She makes experimental music and improvises a lot of her beats on the spot.
