" MOJO - 4 stars **** "Pristine, unrestrained alternative rock symphonies... The record is very much about Andy MacFarlane's orchestration of their grand, dramatic, often raucous guitar sound, alongside singer James Graham's spirit-dredging lyrical honesty...

" Record Collector - 4 stars **** "A visceral collection of tracks... " The Guardian (feature) "It's The Long Goodbye is deeply personal and as vulnerable as it is ferocious. A devastating blend of crashing shoegaze, subtle electronic and melancholic soundscapes.

" Clash - 9/10 IT'S THE LONG GOODBYE is both cathartic and inspirational... an astonishing body of work that firmly emphasizes what an important band The Twilight Sad are. "
