‘Indie’s Wittiest New Songwriter’- NME

Whilst in the endless pursuit of the perfect punchline upon the cheesiest melody, Welly’s songs sweep up influences as close to home as Blur and Pulp and as far and wide as French ‘Chansons’and Chicago House.

But essentially, it’s dancey-punky-britpoppy stuff with Alan Bennet on the top. Lovely.

“Having spent the past twelve months peddling his winking sonic wares across England’s green and pleasant lands - backed by his trusty band of fellow rabble rousing scamps - the project’s eponymous vocalist has taken up said musical mantle in earnest, delivering a debut album that’s ironic, immediate, and unashamedly catchy” - DIY Magazine
