Gondwana Records Presents: Phi-Psonics + Rory Green + Mari* for Brick Lane Jazz Festival's 2027 Launch Party!

Phi-Psonics at 93 Feet East

To toast the sixth edition of Brick Lane Jazz Festival, we've teamed up with a label whose artists have filled our stages, playlists and imaginations since day one. From Matthew Halsall, GoGo Penguin and Portico Quartet, to Jasmine Myra, Hania Rani and Mammal Hands - Gondwana Records continues to shape the sounds we champion.

Join us for an evening of radiant music, from soulful jazz to contemporary ambient and folk, as Gondwana Records Presents:

Phi-Psonics: the meditative LA group led by bassist Seth Ford-Young, with Sylvain Carton and Chip Wickham (sax/flutes), Bruno Heinen (keys) and Jon Scott (drums). Deeply soulful music rooted in jazz, classical and spirituality. "Gorgeous Spiritual Jazz Vibration" (Zakia, BBC 6 Music)

Rory Green: the Manchester composer, guitarist and bandleader turns childhood memories of Ghana and Northern mill towns into warm, expansive music. His debut, Moments Brighter Than The Sun, blends ambient, jazz and folk with electronics and an acoustic ensemble of long-time friends.

Mari\*: Gondwana's own DJ and tastemaker, with uplifting sounds from the catalogue and beyond.

Founded in Manchester in 2008 by Matthew Halsall and his brother, artist Daniel Halsall, Gondwana Records has helped define it's own unique and highly-acclaimed strand of progressive jazz-influenced electronica, ambient, post-classical and spiritual jazz.
