The debut Azymuth LP featured classics like 'Manha'(a standard on the jazz-dance club scene) and 'Faca De Conta'. This was quickly followed by their second album 'Agua Nao Come Mosca'.

Over this period of time Azymuth established themselves as one the world's great jazz bands, playing at the Monterey and Montreux Jazz Festival alongside legendary musicians Chick Corea, Joe Henderson, George Duke and Stevie Wonder.
