Rialto

Rialto at Village Underground

Twenty-seven years on from their breakthrough hit ‘Monday Morning 5.19’, Rialto are back — and they’re embracing the late-night romance, hedonism and bittersweet melancholy that made them one of the most distinctive bands of their era.

Blending cinematic pop, sophisticated melodies and a darker strain of disco, Rialto first emerged in the late ’90s with a sound that set them apart from the Britpop crowd. Their self-titled debut spawned fan favourites including ‘Summer’s Over’, ‘Untouchable’and ‘Monday Morning 5.19’, before the band went their separate ways in 2001.

Now reunited, Rialto return with Neon and Ghost Signs, their acclaimed third album, which finds frontman Louis Eliot revisiting the band’s signature romanticism through a more worldly lens. Exploring love, loss, fleeting encounters and the search for one more unforgettable night, it brings together the cinematic elegance of their early work with darker, modern disco influences.

Following a hugely successful return to the stage and a growing new generation of fans, Rialto embark on their first headline UK tour since reforming. Catch them live at Village Underground for a night of timeless melodies, nocturnal glamour and bittersweet pop.
