About — The artist
Channel One Sound System is a British reggae and dub sound system from London, England. It is made up of Mikey Dread on selection, operation and sound effects, Ras Kayleb, the crew's MC, Jah T, one of the owners, and a good team of BoxMen to help them. Channel One is one of the pioneers of the UK dub style, alongside Jah Shaka and Aba Shanti-I. It is systematically present at the Notting Hill festival, and it gained international renown, confirmed by its appearance at European festivals such as Rototom.
