About — The artist
Edis Görgülü, born 28 November 1990 in London, is a Turkish singer.
He was born in London and grew up in Izmir. While studying at secondary school and university, he took music lessons. After enrolling at Galatasaray University's Communication Faculty, he moved to Istanbul and immediately tried to contact various people to make an album, without success. During this time, he began acting and landed roles in the television series Dinle Sevgili (2011-12) and Hayatımın Rolü (2012). In the years following his acting career, he received an offer from his manager to make an album.
After releasing numerous singles, Edis released his first studio album, Ân, in March 2018. His first single, Benim Ol, released in March 2014, was a hit and reached number two on the Türkçe Top 20. His singles Dudak (2016) and Çok Çok (2017) also reached number two on the charts, followed by Roman, which became a number-one hit. Music critics praise Edis's style. To date, he has won numerous awards, including a Turkey Music Award, and has received several nominations.
