About — The artist
Emmure is an American metalcore band, originally from New Fairfield, Connecticut. Formed in 2003, the band later relocated to Queens, New York. The band has released a total of seven albums and three demos, Dead People Ink Demo, Nine Eleven Zero Four and Demo 2005. They caught the attention of This City is Burning Records, through which they released their first EP, titled The Complete Guide to Needlework.
Victory Records noticed the band after the EP's release and signed them. They released their debut album, Goodbye to the Gallows, in 2007. The band remained with the label. Their second, third and fourth albums, The Respect Issue (2008), Felony (2009) and Speaker of the Dead (2011), were distributed by Victory. Once their four-album contract with Victory expired, they signed with the label again for the distribution of their fifth and sixth albums, Slave to the Game (2012) and Eternal Enemies.
