About — The artist
Laura Pausini is an Italian singer and television personality, born on 16 May 1974 in Faenza, Emilia-Romagna. She became known in her home country at the 1993 Sanremo Festival, with the song La Solitudine, and achieved success in several European and Spanish-speaking countries thanks to her albums in Spanish, Portuguese and English, all languages she speaks fluently. She has also sung a few songs in French, including duets with French-speaking artists such as Charles Aznavour, Johnny Hallyday, Hélène Ségara and Lara Fabian.
One of her singles, Limpido, a duet with Kylie Minogue, reached number one on the Italian charts and earned a World Music Awards nomination.
Laura Pausini is the only Italian artist to have won a Grammy Award, four Latin Grammy Awards and a Golden Globe. She was also nominated at the 2021 Oscars. She has sold nearly 70 million albums.
