About — The artist
Sevendust is an American nu metal band from Atlanta, Georgia. The band's musical style is in the vein of Korn and Deftones. Formed in 1994 under the name Crawlspace, their career took off quickly. After a few name changes, the members settled on Sevendust and released their self-titled debut album in April 1997. They achieved success, and the album was certified triple gold by the RIAA, selling millions of copies internationally.
The first album sold 311 copies in its first week. However, thanks to touring and support from the label TVT Records, the album charted on the Billboard and was certified gold. Since its formation, Sevendust has released fourteen studio albums, charted multiple times, and been certified gold on several occasions. They reissued their first album under the title Sevendust: Definitive Edition, which includes five new songs and a DVD.
