About — The artist
The Buoys were an American pop/rock group of the early 1970s. Its members included Bill Kelly, Fran Brozena, Jerry Hludzik, Carl Siracuse and Chris Hanlon, based in the Wilkes-Barre-Scranton area of Pennsylvania. In the United States, the group is best remembered for the banned single "Timothy"; in Europe, their song "Give Up Your Guns" enjoyed huge success on two separate occasions. Both songs were written by Rupert Holmes, the second in collaboration with D. Jordan.
