Steven Patrick Morrissey, detto Morrissey [ˈmɒrɪsiː], talvolta abbreviato in « Moz », nato il 22 maggio 1959 a Davyhulme, nel distretto metropolitano di Trafford, è un cantante, paroliere e autore britannico.
Diventa celebre per il ruolo di leader e cantante degli Smiths, attivi dal 1982 al 1987. Quando il gruppo si scioglie, inizia una carriera solista.
La musica di Morrissey è riconoscibile per la sua voce di baritono e per i testi, dai temi ricorrenti come la solitudine, il desiderio amoroso, la depressione, l'autosvalutazione o l'umorismo nero.
