Solène Weinachter / After All - Danae Festival

Un appuntamento del Danae Festival a Milano: il progetto After All di Solène Weinachter, in programma allo Spazio Fattoria, spazio cittadino che ospita concerti e spettacoli.

Solène Weinachter is a French dancer and choreographer based in Dundee, Scotland. Storytelling, dance and humour have been at the heart of her work since 2013, with a strong interest in exploring the connection with the audience. She trained at the regional conservatoire in Lyon and went on to study at the London Contemporary Dance School, where she earned a degree with honours and a master's in contemporary dance and performance.

After All is an exploration of death and, in particular, of the way we say goodbye. Although death comes to everyone, talking about it is often a taboo that leads people to face their grief alone. Through a series of humorous and passionate reconstructions of the funerals of people she has loved, as well as her imagining of her own, Solène seeks to evoke a space in which to live alongside death and loss, bringing us closer together to understand what role dance can play in healing. A natural performer, Solène blends dance, comedy, storytelling and theatre to ask the question: what happens in the end?
