dramaturgy and direction by Angelo Facchetti

Two Pandas are setting up home, each on their own. They meet. They look at each other. They like each other. And then? How do you express your affection?

To do so, they need to attend a special school: a school of hugs. Because hugs can express so many things: they give courage, celebrate a victory, mark the joy of a meeting or the hope of finding each other again when one goes away. And so our two Pandas learn to express their feelings. It is the gesture of sharing, union, tenderness, return and reconciliation par excellence. A gesture that children seek out and feel to be natural within their emotional world, but which must be learnt at every new encounter. A reflection on the communicative power of a simple gesture such as the hug.
