20 CUTS in Los Angeles: An Immersive Real-World Thriller Game

A walking murder-mystery game played on a phone across Beverly Hills streets, starting from 9394 N Santa Monica Blvd. Players follow a chain of puzzles from one stop to the next around the neighborhood.

This outing is a real-world thriller game in which each participant becomes a pawn in a scavenger hunt set up by a mastermind called Razor. The story begins with a sister who has been taken, and the way forward runs through rescuing other captives while cracking dark, story-driven puzzles that trace the culprit's whereabouts.

The route is on foot, covering about 2 miles (3 km) and 12 locations across the city, and it is followed through a companion mobile app. A phone is the only tool needed, no other equipment is required, and the game is conducted in English. There is no limit on the number of players in a group.

Because it is played on foot and by phone, the game suits people who enjoy puzzles and exploring a neighborhood at street level, whether they come alone, as a pair or with friends. The starting point is 9394 N Santa Monica Blvd, a venue in Beverly Hills.
