Casbah/Belly Up/Desert Daze Present: The Black Angels

The Black Angels and Ghostwoman perform at The Observatory North Park for an evening of indie rock and pop.

The Black Angels formed in Austin, Texas, in 2004, taking their name from the Velvet Underground song The Black Angel's Death Song. The band emerged as a leading force in modern psych-rock, recognized for heavy guitar drone, vintage fuzz pedals, and dark lyrical themes. Their catalog includes several acclaimed studio albums that draw heavily on sixties garage rock and the pioneering work of 13th Floor Elevators. Alongside them on this bill is Ghostwoman, a project that blends analog instrumentation with raw garage rock textures.

This concert takes place at The Observatory North Park, a historic theater located in San Diego that regularly hosts live music performances and cultural events. The venue provides a space for touring independent acts and regional audiences.

Music listeners interested in psychedelic guitar music, distortion-heavy arrangements, and contemporary indie rock will find this bill relevant to their tastes.
