The featured act is Les The DJ, and the evening centers on the genres above, which range from the rhythmic grooves of funk and reggae to the vocal traditions of soul and gospel. Because the bill is built around these styles, it suits listeners who follow music from across the Black American and Caribbean traditions in one program.

Lucky Danger hosts concerts and shows in Washington, and this event takes place there. The seasonal focus gives the program a specific framing for fans of these styles who want a themed evening of music.
