Corey Smith: 21 After 21 Tour

Corey Smith performs on the 21 After 21 Tour at Joe's on Weed Street in Chicago, a concert in the blues, country and folk tradition of American roots songwriting.

Corey Smith works in blues, country and folk, three styles that share a long tradition of storytelling songs. Country contributes narrative lyrics and plainspoken melodies, blues adds its emotional directness and repeated forms, and folk keeps the focus on the song itself. Listeners who follow this kind of songwriting will recognize the approach in this act's material.

The tour title, 21 After 21, names the run that brings Corey Smith to Chicago on this visit. The show is a touring singer-songwriter performance, so it suits anyone interested in roots-based songs presented by one artist rather than a full band production.

Joe's on Weed Street is a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows, and the evening fits listeners looking for a focused, song-driven night of American roots music in the city.
