DOWNSTAIRS: spuwuky is an electronic music night in Brooklyn, with cybr.nova and Cyb0rrrg sharing the bill. Electronic music is a broad field built on synthesizers, drum machines and sampled sounds, and this program brings two acts from that field to one stage.

Purgatory hosts concerts and shows in Brooklyn. The evening suits listeners who want electronic music in a concert setting, with two acts on a single bill.

Electronic music has roots in the club and dance culture of the late twentieth century, where producers and performers built continuous sets from beats, synthesized textures and recorded samples. This program's electronic focus places both acts within that tradition.
