Funk'd: Closing Party

An electronic music night called Funk'd: Closing Party, presented at E.V, a venue in Orlando that hosts concerts and shows.

Funk'd: Closing Party is an electronic music night presented under the Funk'd name. Electronic music is built on synthesizers, drum machines and sampled sounds, and its club-oriented styles often rely on steady rhythms and long, gradual builds.

E.V hosts concerts and shows in Orlando, and this electronic night suits listeners who follow dance-oriented music. The name points to funk, a style that developed in the 1960s and 1970s around syncopated bass lines and tight rhythm sections, a groove tradition that electronic producers have often sampled.

Funk grew out of soul, jazz and Afro-Latin rhythms, and its groove-based structure carries directly into dance music, where a steady pulse is central.
