Geoff Tate's Operation: Mindcrime - The Final Chapter

A concert by Geoff Tate, former lead vocalist of Queensrÿche, built around Operation: Mindcrime, the concept album that band released in 1988. The show takes place at The Fillmore Silver Spring.

Geoff Tate was the lead vocalist of Queensrÿche, the rock band from Bellevue, Washington, whose catalog spans progressive metal and hard rock. Operation: Mindcrime, released in 1988, follows a drifter drawn into a secret conspiracy and remains the band's best-known concept record. Its follow-up, Empire (1990), produced the ballad "Silent Lucidity," which Tate sang on the original recording.

This project presents the Operation: Mindcrime material under the title The Final Chapter. The work is rooted in the album's narrative and its dense, theatrical rock arrangements, so the evening suits listeners who know the record and want to hear its songs performed by the vocalist who sang them originally.

The Fillmore Silver Spring is a concert and show venue in Silver Spring, just outside Washington, D.C., and the program is aimed at fans of the album and of the vocalist's long association with Queensrÿche.
