Girl Ultra: el Tour de RRRomeo

Girl Ultra, a singer, songwriter and creative born in Mexico City, brings the Tour de RRRomeo to Songbyrd in Washington, D.C., with material from a new album produced alongside Chromeo.

Girl Ultra is a singer, songwriter and creative born in Mexico City who has spent recent years widening the boundaries of Latin R&B, moving between club music, overdriven guitar and after-hours sounds. Performances have included Tiny Desk, KEXP, COLORS, Boiler Room, Primavera and Coachella, and the act has toured across the Americas and Europe.

The new album RRRomeo was produced alongside Chromeo. The live show is a rougher, looser version of the music, built on dancefloor energy, indie-sleaze abandon, new-wave synths and guitars played loud, with a romantic and openly affectionate tone.

The concert takes place at Songbyrd, a venue in Washington, D.C. that hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners drawn to dancefloor-driven Latin R&B and to the synth- and guitar-led sound of the new record.
