Jim Henson's Labyrinth: In Concert 40th Anniversary

A concert built around the music of Jim Henson's Labyrinth, the 1986 fantasy film, marking 40 years since its release. It is presented at the Jefferson Perf Arts Center in Metairie.

Jim Henson's Labyrinth is a 1986 fantasy film directed by Jim Henson, with a screenplay by Terry Jones. David Bowie plays Jareth, the Goblin King, and wrote and performed the film's songs, while Trevor Jones composed its score. Jennifer Connelly stars as Sarah, a teenager who must cross a labyrinth to rescue her baby brother, and Henson's puppetry and creature designs give the film its distinctive look.

This concert centers on the film's music and marks the 40th anniversary of its release. The program is built around the score and the songs that have kept the film's story and sound in circulation since 1986.

The evening suits fans of the film and of David Bowie's music. The Jefferson Perf Arts Center in Metairie hosts concerts and shows, and this event is part of its season of performances.
