Jim Hensons Labyrinth: In Concert 40th Anniversary

Experience Jim Henson's Labyrinth: In Concert on this visit to San Diego, pairing the complete fantasy film with a live score performance.

Jim Henson directed the fantasy film Labyrinth, released in nineteen eighty-six, featuring a screenplay by Terry Jones and executive production by George Lucas. The movie stars David Bowie as Jareth the Goblin King and Jennifer Connelly as Sarah Williams, centering on a teenage protagonist who must navigate a vast labyrinth within thirteen hours to rescue her baby brother.

The film score was composed by Trevor Jones, blending orchestral arrangements with electronic music elements. David Bowie contributed several original vocal tracks to the soundtrack, including Magic Dance and Underground, which were integrated into the musical landscape of the picture.

This event takes place at The Magnolia, a venue located in El Cajon that hosts concerts and theatrical productions. The program presents the feature film on screen while musicians perform the score live to picture.
