Los Angeles, Hermosa Beach Murder Mystery: Solve the case!

An outdoor murder mystery set in Hermosa Beach and played on a smartphone, with 5 Pier Avenue as its venue. Players follow clues around the city to work out who is responsible for a death.

Players take on the role of a detective investigating the death of a popular travel blogger, who is found dead during a ghost tour. Guided by their phone, participants move through the city, uncovering hidden clues at 12 landmarks within a radius of about two miles and solving puzzles along the way. Only a phone with an internet connection is needed.

Questioning suspects is part of the role-playing, and the case includes a staged crime scene. The game runs about 60 to 90 minutes, with a maximum of two hours, and each group can have any number of players. Instructions are available in English, French, German and Spanish.

The outing suits groups of friends, families and visitors passing through Los Angeles. The venue is 5 Pier Avenue, which hosts concerts and shows in Hermosa Beach.
