LPR Presents: JOHN SCOFIELD'S "ELECTROSPECTIVE"

John Scofield's concert "Electrospective" is presented by LPR at Town Hall New York. The American guitarist's work sits within jazz and jazz fusion, and the evening is built around that body of recordings.

John Scofield is an American guitarist born in 1951 in Dayton, whose playing sits within jazz and jazz fusion. His discography includes releases on the Deutsche Grammophon label, and his first album, "East Meets West", came out in 1978. Those recordings span several decades of his career and form the musical frame for the evening.

The concert takes place at Town Hall New York, a venue that hosts concerts and shows across the city. The evening suits listeners who want to hear a jazz guitarist's work performed in a concert setting, as well as anyone interested in how jazz fusion developed from the late 1970s onward. The title, "Electrospective", places the program under the name of the concert itself, so attendees can approach it as a presentation of this guitarist's work.
