Mosaic Lamp Workshop

A two-hour hands-on workshop in San Francisco where participants design and assemble a mosaic lamp from colored glass pieces, held at Art and Craft Workshops.

This workshop at Art and Craft Workshops centers on making a mosaic lamp. Participants choose from a palette of sixteen glass colors and arrange them on a lamp base to create a personal piece. The session runs two hours and requires no previous experience, so it suits beginners as well as people who already work with crafts.

All materials are included: a glass globe, a lamp body and lid, the mosaic glass pieces, chunky beads, an inspiration template, an LED bulb, quick-dry glue and gloves. The studio's artisans guide each step, and snacks, coffee, tea and water are offered during the session. Optional add-ons, such as a hanger, a take-home kit or a smart LED with touch on-off control, can be requested at the studio.

The format suits families, couples and small groups, including birthday or bachelorette parties. Because the finished lamp is a personal object, the workshop can also work as a gift.
